Over the years, there have been many popular shows, movies, and Hollywood stars that have been commemorated by the creation of a replica Barbie doll.

Movies that have had Barbie dolls created for them include “Twilight”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Alice In Wonderland”, “Gone With the Wind”, and “Grease”. Barbie’s were not just created to showcase the main stars of the movies either. Many of these movies had the supporting characters made such as the Munchkins, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion from “The Wizard of Oz”. Additionally, for some movies, such as “Gone With the Wind”, more than one version of the character was released to showcase the iconic outfits of the film. As with the “Gone With the Wind” example, Scarlett O’Hara was made with her famous green curtain outfit, her picnic outfit, and her classic red dress.
TV shows that have had Barbie dolls made after them include “I Love Lucy”, “Dynasty”, “Bewitched”, and “The Beverly Hillbillies”. For some of these shows, only one doll was made to feature the main character of the TV show. Or, as in the case of “I Love Lucy”, there were many dolls made to recreate the outfits of famous television scenes.
When it comes to commemorating celebrities, there have been many different Barbie dolls made. Some celebrities that have had Barbie dolls created for them include Elvis Presley, Reba McEntire, Cyndi Lauper, Barbra Streisand, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelly. In some cases, such as for Grace Kelly, multiple dolls in a variety of outfits were created.
