Mad Men Barbie dollsBarbie is going retro this time- Mattel is planning to release collector item Barbie dolls featuring no less than the cast of Mad Men. The bee-hive up-dos and and the retro dresses complete with scarves and the requisite jewelry look absolutely stunning, and as the figures of the women on the show are already hour-glass, keeping to their attractive body lines shouldn’t be much of a problem. There is a slight irony in the creation of Mad Men characters for a barbie doll collection. None of the characters on the show has what anyone would ever consider to be the best of reputations. In fact, the characters on Mad Men are known more for getting into somewhat sketchy business shenanigans and for countless sexual escapades than they are for upholding high moral standards.

Barbie is in the limelight again- this time at Wal-Mart. Whether or not Barbie can take the heat is the eternal question. Only this time, the focus is more on Walmart. A brown-skinned Barbie is being sold more cheaply than the same exact Barbie with white skin at a Wal-mart in Lousiana.

Barbie is hipper than ever, still sporting a rocking body that no real woman outside of Heidi Montag could ever dream of, and is now adorned in the latest Christian Louboutin outfit. Christian Louboutin, in case you are not aware of him, is a French designer who is most notable for his striking shoe designs with red-soles, made famous numerous models walking up and down the catwalk.
